Title: Script file for adding categories and combinations
Post by: roger on May 10, 2013, 06:41:34 PM
Categories and combinations are extremely useful when analysing complex situations.  For example, each combination could represent the activities taking place in each month of a construction project.
Although there is no menu item that lets you import a setup file for categories and combinations, you can do this through the script interface.

The following script file is an example:

# Add category 95 to represent the activity of piling in area D:
Add category 95 "Piling in area D"

# Add combination of categories 81, 93, 95 & name it ‘Month 24':
Add combo "Month 24" 81,93,95

It is straightforward to create a file like this using NotePad.
Save it with a suitable name, eg newcombo.nms
The to run it, type the name into the script pane, as follows:
run newcombo.nms
or select File>Run Script from the menu and navigate to the script file and select it in the file list.
