You can run contour and receiver calculations from a script. As part of this, you need to specify the calculation method to be used. The full structure of the method command is method=type, option(year).
The possible values of type are:
CRTN - CRTN road traffic noise calculation method
CRN - Calculation of Railway Noise calculation method
CRNLAeq - The Channel Tunnel Rail Link method for LAeq calculations
CRNLmax - The Channel Tunnel Rail Link Method for Lmax calculations
BS5228 - A-weighted sound levels using the basic BS5228 calculation method
BS5228Oct - Octave band calculations using BS5228 calculation method
Lden(2005) - Lden derived from L10 using the 2005 conversion. Also generates L10, Leq,16h, Lday, Levening, Lnight and Lden, ROI. (The 2005 conversion is the default if year is omitted)
Lden(2003) - Lden and other indexes using the superseded 2003 method
LeqNAC - one-hour Leq using the NAC method
If you are calculating the less-common indexes, please ensure that you fully understand how that method works, to ensure you have put in the right calculation parameters. NoiseMap can provide additional manuals.
Also, please note that Lden can be derived from traffic flows using 18-hour, period or hourly data. The method is automatically chosen according to whether you provide 18-hour, period or hourly data. You don't specify this as part of the method command.
Note that the same method parameters apply to both contour and receiver calculations.
