The Database Previewer has a check-box marked 'Inherit parent tiles' underneath the 'Select all tiles in scenario' window. Does this affect the way that object properties are inherited?

No! It does not affect the inheritance of object properties in any way!

It should more properly be labelled Include parent tiles and we will change this in future versions of NoiseMap.

When using the Previewer, firstly, in the Select all files in scenario window, you choose the scenario that you wish to load.

If you do NOT check the Inherit parent tiles box, then the only tiles that will be loaded will be those where one or more objects has different properties from the parent, for the chosen scenario.

If you DO check the Inherit Parent tiles box, then all the tiles in the parent scenario will be selected for download as well.

If you have a large model, there could be thousands of tiles, which would be slow to load and unwieldy to manage.

In this case, you would need to use 'named areas' in the 'Limit selection' window so that you can select a particular area of the model.
To create a named area, you select the tiles to be included in the area and then click the Add button to the right of the Named area window.
